determines the aesthetics of the piercing results. With a tongue piercing, the
location determines far more than just the appearance of the pierced tongue. An
improper location for a tongue piercing can have an affect on the speech pattern
of the person wearing the tongue piercing. An improper location for a tongue piercing
can also affect the chewing abilities of the person with the tongue piercing.
A tongue piercing should go on the midline of the tongue. It should not, however,
be placed too far towards the front of the tongue. That would make it difficult
for the person with the tongue piercing to make all of the sounds in normal speech
