This piercing takes between 2 to 4 months to heal. Generally, Dydoe piercings are done in sets of two, at the 10 and 2 o’clock positions through the ridge of the glans. If the corona, that is the ridge of the glans, is highly prominent, there are fewer chances of the Dydoe piercings migrating or getting rejected. Barbells having a gauge of 14 and a length of 3/8 to 7/16 inches are considered ideal for initial use. The length of the Barbell should exceed the width of the piercing by 1/16 inches. If the corona is not very prominent, curved barbells would be more suitable. Rings are found to be very difficult to use by many dydoe jewelry wearers.
