An Apadravya piercing takes 6-10 months or upto a year for its complete healing. This piercing is made through the glans on its ridge. Many times, it is a continuation of the Prince Albert piercing. In this case, the piercing takes lesser time to heal. On account of irrigation with urine and less amount of tissue being involved, the Apadravya usually heals faster than the Ampallang piercing. Barbells having a gauge of 10 to 12 are perfect for initial use. Measuring the penis when it is in an erect position would help in determining the suitable length of the barbell.
